I was scrolling along on Instagram last week when I saw that Philadelphia magazine posted about this indoor triathlon at Drexel. So, me being over-ambitious decided “Hey! Let’s do a Triathalon”. Now, don’t freak out I came to find out it’s a triathlon SPRINT. So that means its a 750 m swim (30 laps), 16-mile bike, and a 3-mile run. It’s totally do-able, at least that’s what I tell myself. I have no trained, I haven’t swum in a while but that is like riding a bike for me. I started swimming competitively at the age of 7; so I’m practically a fish. The biking part will be easy too, that’s been my new hobby. Spinning and then road cycling. I have my setup in the garage for winter cycling. Got the smart trainer, and zwift ready to go so whenever I want I can just go into the garage and put a few miles on. I haven’t named my bike yet, so we’ll see; we’re still trying to get to know each other. I would rather ride outside on the road but I have yet to find a good bike path. The one by my house has a lot of major stops and is only 4 miles long – not much of a bike ride to speak of.

The only thing that might be difficult is the running portion. I’m not much of a runner, to begin with, and especially after swimming and cycling, i’m sure I’ll be pretty tired. So we’ll see how it goes I’ll follow up with another post after the weekend!
